Visit York for Lunch

5 of the Best Places to Lunch in York!

Where’s the best place for lunch in York? Here’s our recommendations.

It’s sooo hard to narrow this down to just 5 – as we are completely spoilt for choice here in York for eateries, but these five are our best lunch favs right now…

1 – The Whippet Inn – for a top notch steak cooked to absolute perfection you really have to try this place, with it’s quirky surroundings (study the wallpaper!) and boasting York’s original Gin House it’s the perfect spot for a lunch time escape – they also have a 50% January offer on the Connected York app right now too!…

2-  Fancy Hanks York for good mood food inspired by America’s Deep South – the ultimate in comfort food is served here, from Mac n Cheese, BLT’s, Cheesy waffles topped with pulled mojo pork – is your mouth watering yet?! Grab your mates and get down here for lunch – for tables of 6 or more there’s a 20% offer on the Connected York app not to be missed!

3 – Shori York Asian Fusion Street Food – A perfect little lunch time stop where Veganuary is in full swing right now with Spicy Mushroom Baos, Katsu Curry Chips or Mushroom ramen – and all Vegan dishes are £5 or under too! We have never tasted better Baos than at Shori – simply divine.

4 – Plush Cafe – have your afternoon tea swinging from the seats in the Garden Room or sip your coffee whilst you lounge luxuriously on the floor cushion filled Bohemian Room, or perhaps take your Unicorn Toast to the Art Deco Neon Room! Whichever themed room takes your fancy you’ll have a unique and wonderful lunch experience here.

5 – The Rise at The Grand – if you’re looking for a spot of luxury for your lunchtime treat then head to The Rise at the Grand – we absolutely love the afternoon tea here – it’s the best one we’ve tasted in York! It really is a delicious treat set in beautifully elegant surroundings – you will want to go back we guarantee it!

Enjoy your lunch with Connected York!
